Blog 144 – Sunday, May 24, 2009 Sunny and partly cloudy – rainstorm in late evening. Temperatures climbing to 90.
The Indianapolis 500 historically takes place on the Sunday before Memorial Day. Today was no different, with the two hundred-lap race ending in a three-time win for Helio Castroneves. Dancing flawlessly around the track, much as he did on Dancing With The Stars two seasons ago, this Brazilian born talent succeeded in becoming the youngest three-time consecutive winner ever to win the race and, the only driver to win in his first two attempts. A charming gentleman, Helio was in my winner’s circle today, having become a fan after following his class act on the dance floor when he won another first place on Dancing With The Stars.
